About Congress

The flashy developments made in the various branches of science in the developing world today, has opened a new vision of science and technology. In this regard, the nanotechnology as a new approach in all fields is of the utmost importance. For many applications of nanotechnology in various fields of food, medicine, medical diagnostics and biotechnology to electronics and computers, communications, transport, energy, environment, aerospace and national security have enumerated. Social, political and legal outcomes of applications of nanotechnology suggest an interdisciplinary and multi-sectoral scientific field for nanoscience and nanotechnology. So, in the last decade attention by scientists and researchers in various fields has attracted to this new file of research.

Introduction of INS

One of the most important activities of the INS in achieving its lofty goals in order to be active and productive in the international arena is holding a series of international congress known as ICNN NanoScience and Nanotechnology.

The ICNN 2018: 7th International Congress on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. ICNN has been held in autumn 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 in Tehran, Tabriz, Shiraz, Kashan, Tehran and Karaj, respectively, and has been met with enthusiastic reception at the international level.

Congress Aims and Objectives

The objective of this international congress on nanoscience and nanotechnology is to initiate dialogue among basic and applied scientist from all over the world to accelerate the development and use of nanotechnologyas it represents a dynamic revolutionary and cross-cutting field of progress and advancement.

The physics and chemistry of nanoscale systems have advanced rapidly over the last years. There are real prospects of transforming these exciting scientific findings into a new generation of high technology products and device. Since nanotechnology is a multi-discipline technology, it also has the potential to impact a wide range of industrial sectors, from chemicals to electronics, from sensors to advanced materials.

The main aim of the meeting is to pave the way for information exchange among researchers from all over the world who are involved in the field of nanoscience and technology. In addition, collaboration of research groups and companies in multi-disciplinary international projects for the development of magnetic nanomaterials, nanotechnologies and nanoproducts are expected to take place. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing close interactions among scientists and engineers, and fostering future transdisciplinary and multi-institutional collaboration in this new and rapidly growing area.

This congress provides a forum for academic and industrial leaders in the fields of nanoscience for the interdisciplinary blending of theoretical and computational efforts as well as some experimental ones related to theory and computation in chemistry, physics, and biology and materials science, encouraging a free exchange of ideas. The interaction between theory and experiment is indispensable and cannot be overemphasized.

The congress will take three days with four half-day sessions, each session will consist of an invited key rate speakers and paper presentation and the workshops. There will also be poster presentations.

It will be an exciting meeting and we hope to welcome you here in September 2018.

Call for Contributions

All honourable authors are kindly encouraged to contribute to help shape the congress through submissions of their research papers. Also, high quality research contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology are cordially invited for presentation at the congress. The congress solicits contributions of extended abstracts that address themes and topics of the congress, including figures, tables and references of novel research material.

Congress Proceedings

All submitted congress papers will be blind peer reviewed by three competent reviewers. The post congress proceedings will be indexed in the Islamic World Science Citation Center ( ISC). The congress proceedings CD and certificate of presentation will be distributed to the congress participants at the congress registration desk.

A number of selected high-impact full text papers  will have opportunities for publication in International Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (IJNN). The paper selection will be carried out during the peer review process as well as at the congress presentation stage. Submitted papers must not be under consideration by any other journal or publication. The final decision for paper selection will be made based on peer review reports by the Guest Editors and the Editor-in-Chief jointly. Selected full text papers will be online published as free of charge.
